Single word for disturbance time

0

How do you express the disturbance time. Lets say in a project management setting when you have allotted one week for certain task but then realize that there can be 2 days float due to holiday or other priorities that can take practically 1.5 weeks to complete. Is there a word for that period of time?

  • I'd call it a "miscalculation".

  • @HotLicks what if that time period is already calculated. What would you term such offset time?

  • If they didn't take the time into consideration when creating the original schedule it's still a miscalculation.

  • But miscalendarization sounds more like a can you can kick on down the road.
