How can we use to in a comparison

I am 2cm height to my mother.

What are the adjectives that we can use with to rather than using than to make a comparison?

We can compare the height of two people, avoiding the conjunction than, like so:

Compared to my mother, I am 2cm taller.

My mother and I are very similar but heightwise, she is not as tall as me.

I think your question is where to use 'than' and where to use 'to' for comparison. Use 'to' after words ending with 'or' ie. prior, senior, junior, superior, inferior etc., which are not in comparative form as' taller'.

    • Please write the OP's sample sentence showing how "to" would be used because it's a bit difficult to see what you are saying.

    • Hi Mohamed, welcome to EL&U. Note: the system has flagged it as "low-quality because of its length and content." An answer on EL&U is expected to be authoritative, detailed, and explain why it is correct. I'd normally suggest you edit your answer to correct the errors (by, not with; cm not capitalised) and add an explanation, but as the Help Centre's guidance on How to Answer says, "Not all questions can or should be answered here", so this question (which has been put on hold due to its quality) may not be worth the extra effort. :-)
