The presentation of effective date…“After 7 July”
I was reading some journal and came across below statement regarding a new restriction:
"(the product) shall not be placed on the market after 7 July 2020"
What I understand is that under this restriction, the product will still be allowed to be sold on 7 July, and be banned from 8 July. And the "**effective date" of this restriction is 8 July**.
Is it correct to say so?
Thanks!

That's what it implies. But I suspect that if you read the actual legislation, the wording will be different - and so could be the meaning.
