How to build existing kernel modules from github “linux/drivers/”

0

I want to load kernel modules using modprobe. However, because I don't have the .ko-file yet, I need to build them before.

In my case the one I want would be in the path /lib/modules/$(uname -v)/kernel/drivers/iio( it's the content of https://github.com/torvalds/linux/tree/master/drivers/iio). In there a Makefile already exists (see link) (also in the subfolders of the sensors I would be interested in).
It looks like this:

    obj-$(CONFIG_IIO) += industrialio.o
industrialio-y := industrialio-core.o industrialio-event.o inkern.o
industrialio-$(CONFIG_IIO_BUFFER) += industrialio-buffer.o
industrialio-$(CONFIG_IIO_TRIGGER) += industrialio-trigger.o

obj-$(CONFIG_IIO_CONFIGFS) += industrialio-configfs.o
obj-$(CONFIG_IIO_SW_DEVICE) += industrialio-sw-device.o
obj-$(CONFIG_IIO_SW_TRIGGER) += industrialio-sw-trigger.o
obj-$(CONFIG_IIO_TRIGGERED_EVENT) += industrialio-triggered-event.o

obj-y += accel/
obj-y += adc/
obj-y += afe/
...

What do I have to do to successfully run make?
