making user information available across all controllers in C#
I want to make user information available across all controllers in C#
I created a UserDetail class
public class UserDetail
{
public static string Name = string.Empty;
public static string EmailId = string.Empty;
public static Dictionary<string, bool> Roles = new Dictionary<string, bool>();
public void SetName(string name) {
Name = name;
}
public void SetEmailId(string emailId) {
EmailId = emailId;
}
}
Is this a good way to make user detail available across all controllers in C#
I am planning to use it like below
var Email = new UserDetail().EmailId;
and in place where I need to set it, I will use
new UserDetail().SetEmail(emailId); //ideally this will be called only once
Is this a good approach? I wanted to avoid using Session
variables and hence tried using this way
c# object-oriented
