My mouse pointer has changed to + sign and I am not able to select anything on the window from 5 hours. I can change tabs using command + tab keys. Is there a way to get my original mouse cursor back using the terminal and without closing the existing open applications?? Its like someone has grabbed my mouse pointer and now I am not able to click on anything.

Is it an actual plus sign, or an "X" (the default X11 mouse cursor). Do you still have the correct window borders and decorations on everything?

It is an actual + sign (precision select mouse cursor type). All the windows appear to be the same. I just can't click on any window.
