How to read the file in remote server using local software?

0

Currently I am using MacOs, I've connect to a remote file server, and I have Matlab installed in my local MacOs. Can I use my local Matlab to open a file in the remote file server? Previously when I was using Ubuntu 16.04, I can just easily connect to that server, right click that window, choose "open in local terminal", then I can use my local software to read the files in the remote server, is there any similar functions in MacOs?

  • You can mount the remote file system over SSH (using sshfs) or some other file sharing protocol (if remote system is configured for such access).
