Behind him come two people. Note: we generally use words, and not figures, for small numbers. Two is definitely written as a word in all text that is not informal notes, text messages, etc. For more than one person, we use the plural form of the verb. One person comes, two or more people come.
Come
Simple present
I come
you come
he/she/it comes
we come
you come
they come
Conjugation of the verb 'come'
