I am looking for a method to install a linux system on HP Probook x360 11 G1 EE.
Each time grub2 installation is failing. Changing security/efi boot options in bios doesn't change at all. Issue is not dependable on distro type.
Looking only for answers from people working exactly on HP Probook x360 11 G1 EE.

Is there a method to replicate settings from VM to main machine?

You probably won’t get any answers at all unless you describe exactly what happens. “installation is failing” is not an exact description. Please do not respond in comments; edit your question to make it clearer and more complete.

Exactly... when you get no answers in reasonable time, try describing the storage subsystem and write down the exact error message, if any. While at that, does en.altlinux.org/rescue boot there at all? (it could also be used to extract technical data, likedmesg | grep -E 'sd|nvm'
)

No results fromsudo efibootmgr -v
suggests a problem in accessing UEFI boot variables (theefivarfs
virtual filesystem should be mounted at/sys/firmware/efi/efivars
). If the problem is not thatefivarfs
mount is omitted, the root cause might be an UEFI firmware bug; the only fix for this would be an UEFI firmware ("BIOS") update.

sudo efibootmgr -v - no results; empty line
Update: Tails is booting from usb easily.
Almost the same question here.
Edit 2018.11.14:
I managed to install peppermint on Virtualbox with Win10 as main system with no issues. Wondering why there are no issues here. Grub2 is working properly.

(it could also be used to extract technical data, likedmesg | grep -E 'sd|nvm'
)

No results fromsudo efibootmgr -v
suggests a problem in accessing UEFI boot variables (theefivarfs
virtual filesystem should be mounted at/sys/firmware/efi/efivars
). If the problem is not thatefivarfs
mount is omitted, the root cause might be an UEFI firmware bug; the only fix for this would be an UEFI firmware ("BIOS") update.
