How to use and setup preseeding

0

I am trying to get a debian disk to do the following automatically:

  • install debian base

  • configure virtualbox repo and add the repository's key

  • install virtualbox, xserver-xorg*, lxpanel, and slim.

  • Configure a few things;
    Change the following lines in /etc/slim.conf

#default_user       simon
#auto_login no

to

default_user      root
auto_login yes

and add the following lines to /etc/xdg/openbox/autostart

lxpanel&
virtualbox&

I know this can be done with preseed[ing], but can't find any guides to do it.
If it matters, I am trying to install from usb

  • How are you doing the install? eg via local network, over the internet, from a USB device, via a DVD?
