The lexical meanings of the word "preposterous" convey a negative connotation. However, I found it being used in a positive sense in the following sentence:
Preposterous golf awaits in our new mobile game.
Am I wrong in my observation that the word "Preposterous" should not be used here?

What was that sentence supposed to mean anyway? Even otherwise than the adjective, the sentence doesn't seem to make much sense. Please cite the source.

Words only have meaning in context. The context here seems reasonable. Even if it wouldn't normally have the sense it does here, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be used.
