manjaro - notebook keyboard works only partially after update

after the upgrade of my manjaro installation some keys don't work anymore on my keyboard. Even with xev I don't get any input on these keys. The keyboard works fine in the grub console. USB Keyboard is working fine too!

Any Idea what the problem could be? I tried to downgrade libinput - didn't have any effect.

  • I would check to make sure your keyboard language was changed somehow during the update. Use localectl status

  • What keys are they?

  • Check out xmodmap -pm, xmodmap -pke make sure those keys are defined.

  • yes they are all defined it's odd, the key q,w,e,r,u,i,o,p are not working(the upper line of characthers except t and z)
