Kali Linux Virtual Machine login [closed]
I'm currently trying to use kali linux on a virtual machine on my computer. I can install it perfectly fine, but when it shows the login page I cannot login. I've tried my own login that it had me set up, and I've tried the domain it had me set up. Is there something I need to update to login, or should I scrap the virtual machine idea.

Does the user exist on the domain you added your virtual machine to? Hard to log in if that domain cannot authenticate that user.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. The installation said that if you don't have a domain, then you can just make one up.

If you are domain joined then it would be[Domain]/rootthen whatever password you set up. If that does not work can you try reinstalling it and not adding it to a domain? The log in will be username:root, password:[whatever you set].

Thank you for your comment. I didn't set a domain and just used the root for the login and my own password and it worked. Thank you.
