Remote mount overwrite local file
Following set up,
I mounted a remote file via sshfs and the connection to the server got interrupted. Visual Studio Code must have locally saved the file or/and loaded a previous already locally safed version.
Upon reconnecting the auto save feature of Visual Studio Code overwrote the file on the server. Any ideas as how to inhibit this in the future?
- Change permission of file?
- Using Git obviously but still a pain to find the working commit of the particular file
- Inhibit local storage/caching of remote files in Visual Studio Code
